November's KubeCon + CloudNativeCon 2024 in Salt Lake City saw 9,195 attendees, 321 breakout sessions, 136 media and analyst attendees, 25 keynotes and a whole lot of enthusiasm about the future of cloud native computing. As a leader in the space, Rakuten Cloud showed up big at the event this year, emphasizing the company's offering of a next gen Kubernetes platform that delivers exceptional AI performance at the edge.
That unique solution, anchored by the company's Cloud-NativeStorage product that supports stateful edge applications, generated significant interest from attendees and genuine excitement about the potential of AI at the edge.
From the Rakuten Cloud booth, tech leaders conducted demos and hosted multiple booth sessions throughout the 3-day event. Alongside company partners from Google Cloud and Intel, Rakuten Cloud participated in a series of booth sessions on topics such as accelerating AI innovation and navigating the complexities of stateful workloads in Kubernetes.
Attendees also recorded an episode about edge AI for Rakuten Symphony’s popular ZeroTouch Telecom webcast. In the interview, W. Brooke Frischemeier, Head of Product Management, and Padmarajan (Raj) Narayanan, Global Head of Presales & Solutions, talk through an example of how edge AI can work for a quick serve restaurant.
Finally, Rakuten Cloud unveiled its new website at KubeCon, cloud.rakuten.com, which offers rich content and resources for organizations looking to develop their edge compute infrastructure for AI or other use cases.
Once again, KubeCon was the perfect platform for Rakuten Cloud to continue establishing the industry's need for stateful edge and to demonstrate the power of the company's Cloud-NativePlatform software for building out Kubernetes edge AI infrastructure.
