Amid our growing presence in Latin America, Rakuten Cloud recently took the opportunity to co-sponsor the TS Data Center, AI & Cloud Summit in Brazil.
Our partners from Simply Tech, along with MeedBr and Wevy Cloud, represented Rakuten Cloud at the event, meeting with several customers. The day-long conference included informative conversations about how enterprises and data centers across the region are using cloud-native solutions to prepare for the AI era.
This sponsorship builds upon our recent partner training and customer education event in Brazil. Our participation in this summit marks another milestone in Rakuten Cloud’s mission to empower organizations across Latin America to use cloud-native technology to modernize their infrastructure, accelerate digital transformation, and embrace the opportunities of AI-driven innovation.
Beyond the summit itself, Rakuten Cloud teams and partners had a series of highly productive client and partner meetings across key Brazilian cities. Each stop reinforced both the diversity of opportunities and the strategic importance of blending global innovation with strong local partnerships.
Our sessions in the capital brought together government officials, public agencies, and local integrators. Conversations focused on modernizing national IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Brazil’s evolving regulatory frameworks, and how cloud-native and edge solutions can support digital sovereignty. We saw strong alignment on opportunities in public safety, e-government, and healthcare delivery systems, where the demand for resilience, security, and performance is paramount.
As Brazil’s commercial powerhouse, São Paulo provided a forum for in-depth conversations with financial institutions, retailers, and leading GSIs. The focus was on joint go-to-market initiatives, scalable Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and building localized SKUs to meet sector-specific needs. Clients here expressed particular interest in retail edge deployments for customer experience and AI-driven supply chain optimization. The meetings laid the foundation for multi-party collaborations designed to accelerate adoption at scale.
Known as one of Brazil’s primary technology hubs, Campinas allowed us to engage with R&D centers and industrial innovators. The dialogue centered on edge-AI convergence and high-performance data management. We explored how our software-defined storage and cloud-native platform can be embedded in innovation labs to accelerate testing and commercialization of new use cases. The spirit of collaboration here reaffirmed Campinas’ role as a living lab for next-generation digital infrastructure.
With its strong aerospace and industrial base, São José dos Campos gave us an opportunity to connect directly with manufacturing leaders and industrial IoT pioneers. Discussions emphasized predictive maintenance, real-time analytics, and AI-enhanced automation to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency. Several partners highlighted interest in creating reference architectures that demonstrate how edge deployments can transform factory floors, logistics hubs, and aerospace production facilities.
Across all four cities, these engagements were not just exploratory but action-oriented. They yielded a roadmap for joint PoCs, partner-led training sessions, and industry-specific reference architectures. More importantly, they validated the strategic role of partners like Simply Tech and MeedBr in ensuring that Rakuten Cloud solutions are localized, trusted, and scalable in Brazil’s rapidly evolving digital economy.

A key theme throughout the summit was the evolution of data centers in South and Central America to support AI applications, with edge computing highlighted as a powerful enabler.
By processing data closer to where it is generated, edge architectures can cut latency, increase resilience, and make AI applications far more effective. These capabilities are vital for industries such as banking, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.
However, the conference reinforced the complexity of this shift. Participants discussed the realities of integrating edge systems, managing distributed data securely, and aligning with regulatory requirements. It was clear that while the opportunities are immense, enterprises need modern, flexible platforms to move forward.
For Rakuten Cloud, the summit provided a crucial platform to demonstrate how our Rakuten Cloud-Native Platform software is designed to directly address modern data center challenges. Built for scale, automation, and resilience, it gives enterprises and data centers a foundation for innovation.
In the financial sector, our software enables secure, real-time transaction processing. In healthcare, it provides resilient infrastructure to safeguard sensitive patient information while enabling data-driven care. Retailers can rely on cloud-native agility to adapt instantly to customer demand, while manufacturers are leveraging automation and AI at the edge to optimize operations.
Across all these industries, Rakuten Cloud’s software portfolio offers the flexibility and performance required for success in the AI era.
Another clear takeaway from the summit was the importance of collaboration. Rakuten Cloud is joining forces with Simply Tech, MeedBr, Wevy Cloud, and other partners to provide the local knowledge, expertise, and support that enterprises need to succeed.
This strategic blend of global innovation with regional insight and technical skills creates an ecosystem that empowers organizations to embrace AI-driven digital transformation with greater confidence.
